All the best for 2017!!!!!
As we enjoy the last couple of days of 2016 we wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who booked charters with us over the past year! I have met some of the nicest people from all over the world and had the best time with every single charter I've done. It is incredibly gratifying to hear children laugh and see the smiles on the faces of families as they enjoy a day on the water! Our wish for you is good health and happiness for not only the immediate year ahead, but for e

The rhythm is gonna get you!!!
One of the great things about Siesta Key is the absolute abundance of things to do. If you live here or are just vacationing one thing is for sure, you will not be bored! One of the many activities that takes place is the weekly drum circle at the public beach. Every Sunday about an hour or so before sunset there is a gathering of drummers, dancers and spectators that gather on the beach for the weekly jam session. The "circle" is for everyone, young, old, the drummers, the d

Sarasota is great for cycling!!
Yesterday my wife and I went on a nice long bike ride with some friends and absolutely loved it! We left our house on the key, and after meeting up with the others made our way over to City Island for a cheeseburger at the "World Famous New Pass Grill". What it made the ride so nice was the fact that Sarasota is very much a bike friendly community! There were very few places along our route where there was not a designated bike lane. By no designated lane I mean that there we

Snorkeling around the key!
Siesta Key and the surrounding area have some excellent places to try out snorkeling! The most popular spot by far is the point of rocks which is just south of crescent beach. It is a natural limestone formation that you can easily wade out to get to. The gradual slope of the shore makes it easy to adjust your mask and snorkel while standing on a sandy bottom. From there you can simply glide through the water and take in the scenery just below you. As with everything involvin

The "Key" to great music
The village of Siesta Key is well known to be a local hot spot for live music. A short walk from one end of the village to the other and you will encounter numerous musicians, be they part of a band or playing solo. You can literally walk just out of the range of sound from one band and right into the next with just a few steps! Its extremely common to see a musician playing with several different groups depending on the night. It speaks to the closeness of the music scene an

Wild surroundings!!!
The great thing about this part of Florida is the opportunity it gives to experience the abundance of wildlife that exists all around. Dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, fish and birds of all kinds are just a few of the critters you will see in and around the Sarasota area! A walk on the beach will almost always allow for an abundance of bird watching as well as dolphin sightings. On many occasion beachgoers are treated to slow "float by" courtersy of a manateee or two or a dis

Sunsets never get old
Sunsets on Siesta Key are spectacular and no two are the same. There are so many places where people gather to watch the sun bleed away into the night sky. Whether it be at the public beach or any of the numerous beach accesses along Midnight Pass Rd you can always find gatherings of visitors and locals alike taking in the beauty that each sunset brings. We offer boat trips into Big Pass and other areas around the key that offer an unobstructed view of the sunset. It seems on

December weather is perfect for boating!!!
Although the water can be a little chilly this time of year boating in December could not be better! Temperatures so far this month have hit an average high of 77 degrees with little, if any cloud cover, making for beautiful days on the water. Wildlife viewing has been spectacular with dolphins actually seeming to be more active as of late. On a recent charter there was a decent size pod of dolphins actually jumping 5-6 feet out of the water! December also offers a quieter ti
